Bulgaria is well- known with the picturesque towns and villages that have preserved untouched the atmosphere of the National Revival Period. Elena is such place- cozy nestled in the Central Stara Planina Mountain, this authentic atmosphere spouts almost from every corner of the town. Four kilometers away from Elena is the Jovkovtsi Dam Lake – an excellent recreational place suitable for water sports, tourism and developed as a fishing area.
